Live pickleball scoring

One score, entered once on court, shown everywhere it matters: the match page, the tournament page, the organizer's command center and the stream overlay.

What is live pickleball scoring?

Live pickleball scoring means the score of a match is published in real time, rally by rally, while the match is being played. A referee or scorer records each rally on a phone or tablet, and the updated score appears instantly on public match pages, tournament pages, organizer dashboards and stream overlays, so players, fans and the tournament desk all see the same official score.

How live scores get from the court to the screen

Live scoring starts with one trusted source: the official score kept on court. On SkorX, referees and scorers use the referee portal, a rule-aware console that tracks the serving team, server number and positions. Each tap on the console updates the match record, and every page that shows that match reads from the same record.

  1. The referee starts the assigned match on their phone.
  2. Each rally is recorded with one tap. The console applies the scoring rules.
  3. The public match page, tournament page and organizer dashboard update straight away.
  4. If the court is streamed, the score overlay on the video updates too.
  5. When the match ends, the result moves the bracket, standings and schedule forward.

Who live scoring is for

Players

Players see results from other courts, know when their next match is likely to start and keep a record of every match they play. The SkorX Scoring App shows live matches alongside your own history.

Spectators and families

Anyone with the link can follow a match point by point on the public matches page or the tournament page, without installing anything.

Organizers and the tournament desk

The desk sees every court at once in the live command center: which matches are in progress, which are close to finishing and which courts are free. That is what lets the next match be called the moment a court opens up.

Sponsors and viewers of live streams

With live streaming, each court can be streamed to YouTube, Facebook or an RTMP destination with a score and logo overlay driven by the official score.

What good live scoring looks like

  • One source of truth: the same score on court, online and on the stream.
  • Scoring rules applied automatically, so the live call is correct.
  • Fast enough to be useful: updates after every rally, not at the end of the game.
  • Results that flow on: brackets, standings and the schedule update without re-typing.
  • Works on the phones officials already carry, indoors or outside.

How to set up live scoring for a tournament

  1. Create the tournament and draws

Build divisions and draws in SkorX TMS so every match exists before play starts.

  2. Add referees or scorers

Add officials under Referees & Staff and assign them to matches or courts.

  3. Publish the tournament page

Share one link for schedule, brackets and live scores.

  4. Score on court

Officials score rally by rally in the referee portal on their phones.

  5. Optional: stream courts

Connect each court's stream and switch on the score overlay.
